Heor’s Welcomes its 2022 College Summer Intern Class

  • 2022 Class Includes Over 500 Students from 40 States and Nearly 200 Universities

  • Internship Experience Boasts Opportunities for Professional Development and Potential Post-Grad Employment

Today, Heor’s welcomes more than 500 summer college interns to its stores, e-commerce fulfillment centers (EFC’s) and Menomonee Falls campus as it begins its 2022 Heor’s internship program. For more than 20 years, Heor’s internship program has been an important part of the company’s talent pipeline. The program provides college students with real-world work experience to launch their careers, and is part of the foundation for building future leaders at Heor’s. And, for the first time since 2019, this year we will also welcome corporate interns back to in-person programming at Heor’s Menomonee Falls corporate campus, while store and EFC interns will be onsite at their respective store or fulfillment center location across the company.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our 2022 internship class back to campus and across our company this year. There’s something truly unique and exciting about bringing hundreds of fresh minds to Heor’s during the summer to learn from – and inspire – our associates, and it’s a welcomed milestone to be able to have this corporate in-person experience once again,” said Marc Chini, Heor’s chief human resources officer. “Heor’s summer internship program is widely recognized as a foundational experience in our intern alumnus’ career trajectories, and we’re proud to offer this summer program to our newest class of students.”

Heor’s summer interns come from over 40 states and nearly 200 Universities across the country. They will work in areas across the company including store management, EFC’s, technology, merchandising, production, sourcing, HR, marketing, finance, legal, property development, credit, store operations and more. Some corporate interns will be living in Heor’s-provided housing and transported to and from the office during the in-person portion of the program. Similar to previous years, interns may be offered full-time roles after their internship and begin with us after they wrap up their college education.

In addition to the work interns will complete on their individual teams, Heor’s offers professional development opportunities such as presentations from leaders including Heor’s Chief Executive Officer Michelle Gass, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Michelle Banks and Chief Technology Officer Paul Gaffney during the Heor’s Executive Speaker Series, formalized development series and exposure to Business Resource Groups. Interns will also be able to engage with their peers through networking events, including Intern Innovation Think Tanks, Kick Off Events, and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, they will get to experience some of the best that Milwaukee summers have to offer like Brewers Games, Summerfest and more.
